Feng Shui – 3 simple steps to build your home correctly

Feng Shui – follow 3 simple steps to build your home correctly and have favor in your life.

When we have the opportunity to build our home from scratch, we can design it properly so that it’s created with the best specifications and is harmonious with the environment. In this case, Feng Shui as a technique shows us how to build a structure to attract positive energy and be in harmony with both the environment and our personality.

1st step: The architectural plan of the house

The shape of the building plays a significant role, and it’s preferable for it to be complete and harmonious. The square and the rectangle are the best shapes for a house’s plans because they symbolize stability and activate all areas of our lives.

Irregular or ‘Γ’ shapes are not favorable and may negatively affect specific areas of our lives. According to Feng Shui, a house plan is divided into 9 sections representing 9 areas of our lives. If any of these 9 areas are missing, it creates a problem in the corresponding aspect of our life.

The correct and complete design of the house is the most important step.

2nd step: The placement of the house.

When designing the house, it’s important to consider the external environment and place it in complete harmony with it.

We ensure that the back side of the house is covered, meaning that morphologically, the highest ground is at the back while the front facade is lower. Imagine a person choosing a spot and ensuring their back is covered, while the front remains open and visible. All of this in complete harmony with the formation of the plot.

3rd step: Arrangement of the house

When planning the layout of the house, we take the following into consideration:

  • The center of the house should remain open as the chi energy flows from the outside and gathers at the center before dispersing throughout the space. It’s beneficial for this flow to be unobstructed.
  • The main entrance should be well-lit and positioned in a way that upon opening it, one sees an open space.
  • Bedrooms are placed at the backside of the house for more tranquility, where the energy is more yin. Ensuring bedrooms have a complete shape and windows adequately light the space.
  • The kitchen, symbolizing prosperity and health, is best placed in a bright area with good external morphology.
  • Toilets are positioned towards the backside of the house, preferably not directly opposite the main entrance.
  • The living room and dining area are preferably placed near the main entrance, functioning as spaces that receive energy as it enters the area. Ensure they are open, well-lit, and in areas with higher energy.
  • Staircases and elevators, in multi-floor houses, are preferably placed on one of the two sides of the house. Avoid placing them in the center of the house, as mentioned earlier.

Following these 3 fundamental steps ensures that you avoid major mistakes and build a house following simple Feng Shui techniques.
